Founded in 2009 by Mr Sukhdev Sharma, Delhi Spice Indian Restaurant was born out of a lifelong passion for authentic Indian cooking and heartfelt hospitality. What began as a humble family venture on Oaklands Road in Marion, South Australia, soon became a beloved destination for locals seeking genuine Indian flavours prepared with care and tradition.
In the early years, Sukhdev Sharma built Delhi Spice on simple yet powerful principles — authentic taste, consistency, and warmth. With recipes inspired by India’s diverse regions and refined through decades of experience, he crafted a menu that balanced nostalgia with excellence. In time, his son Pankaj Sharma joined him, learning the artistry of spice blending, traditional tandoori preparation, and the value of every satisfied guest.
After years of dedication, Sukhdev has now retired, proudly passing the torch to the next generation. Today, Pankaj Sharma continues his father’s legacy, maintaining the same standards of quality, authenticity, and heartfelt service that made Delhi Spice a household name in Marion and across Adelaide’s southern suburbs.

This has become a regular dining spot for us, and for good reason. The food is consistently excellent, the prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff are always friendly and attentive, making each visit a pleasant experience. One of the added perks is the BYO wine option, which allows me to bring a favourite bottle from home and enjoy a delicious dinner for two—all for around $50.
